The Art (and a Little Science) of the Training Experience Debrief

On-Demand Training Debrief Webinar

The Art (and a Little Science) of the Training Experience Debrief

Master the training debrief to allow participants to think deeply about what they learned and experienced and help them apply what they’ve learned.

When you’ve made your training activity attention-grabbing, interactive, and engaging, is your job done? Not quite. As training designers and facilitators, we’re also responsible for making sure our learners can connect their ah-ha moments to the real world, and that’s where the art of the debrief comes in. Even if you’re running short on time, making sure that your learners have a chance to think a little more deeply about what they learned and experienced will go a long way toward helping them apply their key lessons.

Join us for this recorded webinar where we look at a long history of research about the importance of debriefing, explore debriefing strategies, and practice debriefing techniques. You will also receive a list of 50 debriefing questions to ask before you finish your next training session.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain why debriefing is essential in order for learning to be effective.
  • Select an appropriate debriefing strategy to meet your learning outcomes.
